Intertwine Systems has been chosen to design and build advanced tools for SailTime Licensing Group (STLG.) SailTime is the world leader in providing hassle-free, fractional boating memberships to all types of boaters, and relies heavily on technology to keep track of members, boats and schedules, and is planning a completely new, “clean sheet” suite of technology functions to “step over” other technology offerings currently in the marine marketplace. SailTime has chosen Intertwine Systems in anticipation that the new systems will not only deliver the current capabilities and functionality, but more importantly, provide a future proof platform with a set of significantly enhanced products, tools and features with which to grow the local businesses both domestically and internationally.
Intertwine has responded by proposing a “Visual Portal” approach, which embraces the best practices of information design. The portal will show SailTime base owners all they need to know about their business at any given time, such as prospect and member information, boating schedules, maintenance requests and many more proprietary features and functions. Members, too, will be treated to a new visual portal interface. The inherent information design ensures that “users can seamlessly find what they want and easily understand it when they get there.”

Intertwine Systems has launched a newly designed web site, complete with educational and interactive features. Developed in response to a sharper focus on our three product lines, our newly launched site was built using our flagship product, the Terrazzo content management system. Terrazzo enables smooth and timely transitions to updatable web sites that support the latest web 2.0 tools. Visitors to the site can view a slideshow demonstrating the simple process of building a Terrazzo site. The upgraded site also helps to educate customers on not only the company’s capabilities but industry knowledge as well. Visitors to the site can gain insight by participating in a blog or access and share forward-thinking white papers.
The site showcases the company’s other USER-friendly (Useful, Simple, Elegant and Reliable) applications as well – MembaMe Member Services Manager and Filigree Project Manager - robust tools that are quick to install and easy to use. These IS tools can be used to solve many common business problems, such poor communication, unmanageable data and difficult commerce. But because all of the ISI tools are built on the ISI Platform, customization and scalability is never an issue, in fact, ISI custom Solutions can be built for any scenario.
WBJC is the only classical radio station to serve the Baltimore MSA, reaching 180,000 listeners weekly. It needed a web site that would better reflect the station’s position in the arts community and be more useful to listeners, members and station staff. Intertwine Systems fulfilled the need by creating a web site that, with its exceptional design and functionality, will support the station’s awareness in the region and beyond. The new design, complete with a branded, state-of-the-art audio player, now reflects the caliber and sophistication of the station’s programming, hosts and management.
The upgraded site integrates several advanced ISI web tools to better serve current listeners and members. ISI AirPlay, which publishes the station’s current playlist online, gives a timely view of “what’s playing” and will ultimately allow listeners to rate and buy the music. As a public station, WBJC relies on listener and sponsor support, so the new site makes donating a snap - ISI MembaMe manages the secure membership and subscription services. Lastly, station staff is able to easily update content using Intertwine's intuitive content management tool, Terrazzo. www.wbjc.com
Long-time ISI client APDEM (Association of Program Directors in Endocrinology, Diabetes and Metabolism) has a distinguished membership that spans the country. Its members have been monitoring several key issues, and have found that distance to be a problem when need to collaborate. To make communication easier for these busy professionals, ISI integrated e-Forum into APDEM’s existing web site. Members can now discuss issues online through various threads. The e-Forum completes the Intertwine-built Director’s Toolbox, which helps members manage program information such as fellowships and faculty.
In 2006, Intertwine had created a provocative new design for the BCO’s 24th season.
For its upcoming Silver Anniversary Season, however, the BCO, was not only offering a very special musical program but had several exciting initiatives it needed to promote.
Intertwine reformatted the site navigation, making it both intuitive and state of the art, while adding new sections, including Auditions and History. An elegant but bold design evokes the BCO 2007-2008 Season brochure and highlights the BCO’s special promotions, such as an iPod Nano giveaway. In addition, patrons will be able to order tickets or subscriptions online.
The redesign is part of the continuing partnership between ISI and the Baltimore Chamber Orchestra (BCO.) To support the BCO’s initiative of retaining traditions while reaching out with a unique repertoire, Intertwine will use technology to enhance the concert goers’ experience, with future plans to Podcast pre- and post concert lectures. www.thebco.org
